This isn't a flashlight, household lamp, Christmas light set, or other thing that glows, but it *DOES* have an LED on its fuselage (this word is definitely *NOT* pronounced "fyoo SELL' uh jee" as Drake Parker from the TV program "Drake and Josh" would pronounce it; the word is pronounced "" , so what the hey.
I love things that fly; that's why I added a seperate section titled "PRODUCTS DESIGNED TO FLY" on my website a number of years ago. I was also attracted to something that this drone has that many others don't...
This is a small, lightweight (49g), easy-to-fly caged indoor quadcopter that doesn't use a remote control -- you fly it with your hands!
It had a number of sensors on its body that sense the movements of your hands
SIZE
This toy is remarkably easy to use for a quadcopter...here's how to fly it:
As with any rechargeable product, charge it first (see directly below), and then you can pretend to fly a giant waterbug.
1: On the underside of the quadopter, there is a tiny yellow slide switch. Slide it toward the right as the switch is at the top.
2: Place the Supernova on the floor or hold it in your hand -- being certain that you hold your hand as still as possible here.
3: As soon as the light under the Supernova's dome turns a solid green, you're ready to play. Simply drop the Supernova from chest-height or gently throw it at the ceiling and it should automatically activate.
Here are the instructions because I don't feel like writing a book right now.
(This is stored on my own server; it isn't "hotlinked")
When done using the Supernova, slide the little yellow switch on the underside of the drone's body to the left.
To charge the battery in the Supernova, plug the larger end of the USB charge cable into any USB port on your Mac or pee-cee, and plug small end into the female MicroUSB receptacle on the underside of the Supernova. The LED in the Supernova's dome will start flashing red.
When the charge cycle is complete, the LED in the Supernova's dome turns green and glows steadily.
You may then safely unplug the battery from the charger, and unplug the wired USB dongle from your computer.
Fully charging the Supernova' battery should give you approx 5 to 7 minutes of flying time.
This RC drone is meant to be used as a toy in a dry area indoors, not as a flashlight meant to be carried around all the time, thrashed, and abused; so I won't throw it against the wall, stomp on it, try to drown it in the {vulgar slang term for a fudge bunny}bowl or the cistern, run over it, swing it against the concrete floor of a patio, bash it open to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannoñata (I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a scanner-type device on a platform with a large readout, with a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or with a pack-of-cards-sized device that Fergy Fudgehog uses; and the cannoñata is only used to shoot piñatas to piñata parties away from picturesque Piñata Island), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analyses, or inflict upon it punishments that I might inflict upon a flashlight.
So this section of the quadcopter's web page will be significantly more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.
WARNING!!! The Supernova is intended for INDOOR USE ONLY; trying to fly it outdoors will very likely result in loss of the quadcopter as it flies up, up and away. It will very likely end up in a tree or get squashed flat by a vehicle when its battery peters out and it crashes in some unexpected location. Or on the off-chance that it lands safely, some butt wagon will probably kype it -- in any case, you'll no longer have your Supernova.
Maiden flights of my Air Pigs Supernova Caged Quadcopter 05-19-19 (1080p) (1).
Flights took place in my room at 8:17pm PDT on 05-19-19 (or, "2019-05-19T08:16" or "2019 19 May" or even, "May 19, Twenty Stick-Seriously-Fracked-Up-Stick" if you prefer).
I kinda flew by the seat of my pants here because the instructional materials are still in Shelton WA. while I'm located in Fresno CA. USA.
There is no background music because I thought that the motor noises might serve an educational purpose as they abruptly change whenever the Supernova bounces off walls and the ceiling.
I noted that the quad tends to buzz around and get in your face and stuff -- it rather quickly reminded me of the, "Insect Court" scene in a Beavis and Butt-Head episode. :-)
ALL OF THE FLIGHT VIDEOS ARE ON THEIR OWN WEB PAGE
SO THAT THIS EVAL. WOULD NOT BECOME TOO CUMBERSOME!!!
TEST NOTES:
Test unit was given to me as a Christmas gift by my sister on 12-09-18.
Because it was a gift, the, "" icon will appear next to its listings on this website to indicate that no damaging or even potentially destructive testing will be performed on it.
