Flight took place (launched anyway) in the airspace over the vacant southeast parking lot of Physiomotion Physical Therapy located at 4080 N Cedar Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at 7:55pm PDT on 08-06-19 (or, "2019-08-06T19:55" or "2019 06 August" or even, "Aug. 06, Twenty Stick-Seriously-Fracked-Up-Stick" if you prefer).
Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature was exactly 100°F (37.8°C), and winds measured with my stupid sodding "strong Norway rat poddy yellow" portable digital windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls them even though the bloody things are actually called, anemometers") ;-) were variable and a bit gusty to 7.20mph (11.59kph) at the surface.
Light some candles, draw a refreshing (but soothing) bubble bath (you may wish to add another generous squirt or two of bubble soap -- trust me you'll need them!!!), and immerse yourself in the sweat dulcet tones of some nice relaxing S.O.D. (Stormtroopers of Death) and Megadeth ;-)

This flight took place after the Range Extender antenna kit was installed on my radio; prior to this I was getting pathetically short range (both vertically and horizontally -- vertical range was less than 250 feet {76.2M} and horizontal range maxed out at approx. 700 feet {~213.36M}) on this drone.
The range extender consists of a +7dBi rod antenna and two +5dBi patch antennae.
The performance of the drone was actually a bit *WORSE* with these antennae -- I altered their positions frequently during the flights and no improvement in altitude or distance was evident. :-(
I also wanted to measure the motor temperature after the flight; my brand spanken new new Etekcity Lasergrip 774 Noncontact IR Thermometer allowed me to do just that.
After the ~22 minute flight at an ambient temperature of 100°F (37.8°C), motor temperature was measured at 115.9°F (46.6°C).
* Very warm weather in this context means an ambient temperature of 95°F (35°C) to 103°F (39.4°C) at flight time.
** Flights with an "s" because shortly into the first flight, the DJI GO app was indicating, "Battery Signal Error" and the drone failed to respond to commands from the radio so I initiated an emergency RTH (Return To Home), power-cycled the drone, exited and relaunched the app, but the error message once again appeared. So I shut everything down again, swapped out the flight battery, and restarted everything. The second flight went off without a hitch.

As you may be able to see, street signs appear to be flashing -- this is actually a reflection of the Anti-Collision Strobes on the drone itself; street signs are designed to be retroreflective in order to allow drivers (of ground vehicles) see them in their headlights long before they come within range of being readable.

This test was both a smashing success and an abject failure; the post-flight motor temperature was measured at just 104°F (40°C). But the post-flight battery temperature was measured at 127.5°F (53.05°C). I expected the motors to be *CONSIDERABLY* hotter primarily because I spent a large percentage of this flight simply hovering.

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature was 72°F (22.2°C) increasing to 76°F (24.4°C) as the flight wound down, and winds measured with my stupid sodding "rotten cicada micturition** yellow" portable digital windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls them even though the bloody things are actually called, anemometers") ;-) were generally dead calm at the surface.

This isn't metal so I don't think that you'll have to fashion aural tampons*** out of Cleanax or bungwipe. ;-)

As you can see, I had a wee bit of a "ruff" landing. :-O
As the Phantom had come within several inches off the ground, I unsuccessfully attempted to steer it away from the curb cut for wheelchairs because it is at an angle (instead of being flat) but the drone had other plans. :-\

** Cicadas (all insects for that matter) do not hit the head or visit the whizzer like a person does (by storing their poddy in an expandable sac and then ejecting it through the urethra and into the loo or into the walltoliet when the bladder is full -- the stupid loud insect would not be able to flush the bog or the urinal as well); therefore there is really no such thing as cicada micturition.
