Smokey* fail** FINAL flights*** of my BaYangToys X22 Brushless GPS Drone 09-11-20 (960p) (1)

Flights*** took place (launched anyway) in the airspace near a socker pitch, an unused group of three baseball diamonds, and a canal located alongside W. Dakota Ave. (some true-blue total butt wagon has it spelled *DACOTA* on their mailbox very nearby, hahaha!!!) near N. Cedar Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at 12:43pm PDT on 09-11-20 (or, "2020-09-11T12:43" or "2020 11 Sep." or even, "September 11, Twenty-Twisted-Stick-Tire" if you prefer) .

That grey pall that you see in the sky isn't clouds, it's smoke. :-(

Weather conditions at flight time were fairly heavy smoke*, temperature was 77°F (25°C), and winds measured with my el stupido "strong giraffe urine yellow" portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls them even though those things are actually called, "anemometers") ;-) were variable and a bit gusty to 1.70mph (2.74kph) at the surface.

The music that you hear is zax from the Commodore 64 computer video game, "Master of the Lamps" by Activision from 1984.
I deliberately chose this music again because of the brevity of this video.

This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it causes you to become piddled off or makes your ears bleed (it isn't even *CLOSE* to being metal, so if you find mysterious bloody Q-Tips floating in the toilet, you just might want to see a doctor!) ;-)

* Smokey/smoke because there are several wildfires burning nearby; most notably fires in Yosemite National Park near Fresno, the Hills Fire near Coalinga, and the Canyon Fire in Stanislaus County.

** fail because for reasons as-of-yet known, the drone fails to accept commands (stick movements) from its radio much like the last flight; I installed six brand spanken new AA cells before the last flight *AND* I power-cycled the radio but that wasn't "it". :-(

The drone is very sluggish to respond to the initialisation commands and when I do finally get it in the air, it virtually ignores commands from the radio except for throttle.

*** FINAL flights because I launched two flights: the first with no camera at all to see if perhaps the GoPro Hero 3 was causing interference; the second with the camera to note if there were any changes.

After completing the flights, there is negligible difference between flights one and two.
I therefore conclude that either the receiver circuit in the drone has partially burned out or the antenna is no longer connected. Since I am neither capable nor qualified to effect this type of repair, the drone is now officially grounded. :-(

Warm weather* smokey** fail*** flight of my BaYangToys X22 Brushless GPS Drone 09-09-20 (2) (1080p)

Flight took place in the airspace (launched anyway) over the 3600-block of N. Maple Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at 6:18pm PDT on 09-09-20 (or, "2060-09-09T18:18" or "2020 09 Sep." or even, "September 09, Twenty-Twisted-Stick-Tire" if you prefer) .

Weather conditions at flight time were fairly heavy smoke**, temperature was 90°F (32.4°C), and winds measured with my el stupido "strong papoose piss yellow" portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls them even though those things are actually called, "anemometers") ;-) were generally variable to 0.30mph (0.48kph) at the surface.

The music that you hear is zax from the coin-op arcade video game, "Afterburner ][" aka., "Afterburner Deluxe" by Sega from 1987.

* Warm weather in this context means an ambient temperature of 86°F (30°C) to 94°F (34.4°C) at flight time.

** Smokey/smoke because there are several wildfires burning nearby; most notably fires in Yosemite National Park near Fresno, the Hills Fire near Coalinga, and the Canyon Fire in Stanislaus County.

*** fail because for reasons as-of-yet known, the drone fails to accept commands (stick movements) from its radio much like the last flight; this time I installed six brand spanken new AA cells in the radio but that wasn't "it". :-(

Warm wx. (weather)* smokey** EPIC FAIL*** camera test flight of my BaYangToys X22 Brushless GPS Drone 09-09-20 (1) (720p)

Flight took place in the airspace (launched anyway) over the 3600-block of N. Maple Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at exactly 4:00pm PDT straight up on 09-09-20 (or, "2060-09-09T16:00" or "2020 09 Sep." or even, "September 09, Twenty-Twisted-Stick-Tire" if you prefer) .

Weather conditions at flight time were fairly heavy smoke**, temperature was 89°F (31.8°C), and winds measured with my el stupido "strong polar bear uranation yellow" portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls them even though those things are actually called, "anemometers") ;-) were generally variable to 0.30mph (0.48kph) at the surface.

The music that you hear is zax from the Commodore 64 computer video game, "Master of the Lamps" by Activision from 1984.

This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it piddles you off or makes your ears bleed.

* Warm wx. (weather) in this context means an ambient temperature of 86°F (30°C) to 94°F (34.4°C) at flight time.

** Smokey/smoke because there are several wildfires burning nearby; most notably fires in Yosemite National Park near Fresno, the Hills Fire near Coalinga, and the Canyon Fire in Stanislaus County.

*** EPIC FAIL because the drone just didn't want to fly correctly; it was also almost exclusively unresponsive to its radio. I believe I had the drone in the air for approx 30 seconds :-(

*EXTREMELY* brief camera test flight of my BaYangToys X22 Brushless GPS Drone 07-20-20 (1) (720p)

Flight took place in the airspace (launched anyway) over the 3600-block of N. Maple Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at exactly 9:00pm PDT straight up on 07-20-20 (or, "2020-07-20T21:00" or "2020 20 Jul." or even, "July 20, Twenty-Twisted-Stick-Tire" if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly clear, temperature was 88°F (31.2°C), and winds measured with my el stupido "strong polar bear uranation yellow" portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls them even though those things are actually called, "anemometers") ;-) were generally variable to 0.30mph (0.48kph) at the surface.

The music that you hear is zax from the Commodore 64 computer video game, "Master of the Lamps" by Activision from 1984.

This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it piddles you off or makes your ears bleed.

This flight was made solely to test the night vision capability of my landlady's husband's "night vision" camera; this camera was originally used to witness the birth of some puppies in a darkened area. Pepé seems to think that this camera has true night vision while I suspect that it has a short-range NIR (near-infrared) lighting source (a battery of four NIR LEDs) that would illuminate the scene from 15 to perhaps 20 feet (4.57M to 6.1M) away.

I kept the camera directed (aimed) a bit more downward than usual in effort to see if the "night vision" is *TRUE* NV or if it depends on its NIR LEDs to use an illuminator.
