Warm weather* flight of my Flytec T18 R/C "Mini Racing Drone" 08-06-18 (720p) (2).
Flight took place in the airspace over the NW parking lot of the Quik-E-Mart (aka. Brad's Quick Stop) / Union 76 Gasoline Station located near the intersection of Cascade Ave. and Olympic Hwy N. (directly across Olympic Hwy. from Shelton Outfitters and directly across Cascade Ave. from Hillcrest Shell) in Shelton WA. USA at 5:55pm PDT on 08-06-18 (or, "2018-08-06T15:55" or, "2018 06 Aug." or even, "August 06, Twenty Stick-Infinity-Stick" if you prefer).
Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny with a high thin cloud layer (looks like a bit of cirrostratus to me), temperature was 103°F (39.4°C), and winds as measured with my stupid "rotten sockeye salmon pee** yellow" portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls those things even though they're actually called, "anemometers") ;-) were generally clam at the surface.
This drone ***DOES NOT*** make an excellent camera platform primarily because it is so nimble & responsive and does not have a gimbal -- the camera is hard-mounted directly into the drone's fuselage.
Other than that I think that this drone is the dog's bollocks (it's extremely good!) -- I mean I'm really chuffed to bits (exceptionally happy) with it!!! :-)
The excessive jello is caused by the donor props not being cut precisely (down to the last 50 microns or so); this is unavoidable as I do not have the appropriate measurement tools at my disposal and simply had to "eyeball" the cuts.
I'm currently attempting to obtain spare OEM propellers; but it could be several weeks to over a month as they would be coming from China. :-P
I look kinda pissed in this video even though I'm really not; a serious brain operation that I had in late-2002 robbed me of my ability to smile. :-(
I really ***DO*** love the living tweedle out of flying my drones!!! :)
The same operation also left me with a "googly eye" which is why I look a bit queer (pun not intended).
The music that you hear is the song, "Internet Killed the Video Star" by The Limousines.
This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it piddles you off.
Toward the end of the flight, somebody's kitty becomes very curious about the gay*** little plastic drone as you can see. :-)
* Warm weather in this context means an ambient temperature of 86°F (30°C) to 103°F (39.4°C) at flight time.
** Sockeye salmon (all fish for that matter) do not piddle like most mammals do (by storing wee-wee in an expandable sac and then ejecting it through the urethra when the bladder is full); therefore there is really no such thing as sockeye salmon pee ;-)
*** Gay = bright and lively, NOT homosexual! ;-)
Hot weather* post-repair** flight of my Flytec T18 R/C "Mini Racing Drone" 08-06-18 (720p) (1).
Flight took place in the airspace over an empty lot near the intersection of Ellinor Ave. and Olympic Hwy. N. in Shelton WA. USA at 4:00pm PDT straight up on 08-06-18 (or, "2018-08-06T16:00" or, "2018 06 Aug." or even, "August 06, Twenty Stick-Infinity-Stick" if you prefer).
Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny with a high thin cloud layer (looks like a bit of cirrostratus to me), temperature was 105°F (40.6°C), and winds as measured with my stupid "rotten katydid piss*** yellow" portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls those things even though they're actually called, "anemometers") ;-) were generally variable at 2mph (3.22kph) with gusts to 5.50mph (8.86kph) at the surface.
This drone ***DOES NOT*** make an excellent camera platform primarily because it is so nimble & responsive and does not have a gimbal -- the camera is hard-mounted directly into the drone's fuselage (this word is definitely *NOT* pronounced, "/fyoo SELL'uh jee/" as Drake Parker from the TV program Drake and Josh says it; it's pronounced, "/'fjuz??l??/"). ;-)
Other than that I think that this drone is the mutt's nuts (it's extremely good!) I mean I'm really chuffed to bits (exceptionally happy) with it!!! :-)

The music that you hear is zax from the coin-op arcade video game Outrun (the tune is titled, "Splash Wave") by Sega from 1985.
This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it piddles you off.
* Hot weather in this context means an ambient temperature of 104°F (40°C) or higher at flight time.
** After a prop turned up missing prior to this morning's scheduled flight and the spares were nowhere to be found, I harvested the propellers from one of my two Parrot Swing Transforning Drones, snipped the tips off so that they were approximately the same length of the props on this drone, and installed them. A very brief test indoors showed that this drone lifted off the ground (it's a bit noisy, but that's to be expected of props with sharp, squared-off tips like these props have -- though I just now trimmed the sharp corners of each prop at a 45° angle which should help quiet things, so this flight will be the acid test as it were.
As you can see, the flight went surprisingly well (although you'll want to go out and purchase several cans of Ready Whip to go with all that jello!!) The drone makes a bit of a queer sound, and punchout (throttle punch) is considerably slower than it was with the OEM props, but it flew and maneuvered pretty much as well as it did before this sleigh ride began. :-)
*** Katydids (all insects for that matter) do not have a wee like most mammals do (by storing P-P in an expandable sac and then ejecting it through the urethra when the bladder is full); therefore there is really no such thing as katydid piss ;-)
Twilight flight of my Flytec T18 R/C "Mini Racing Drone" 08-05-18 (720p) (6).
Flight took place in the airspace over an empty lot near the intersection of Ellinor Ave. and Olympic Hwy. N. in Shelton WA. USA at 9:07pm PDT on 08-05-18 (or, "2018-08-05T21:07" or, "2018 05 Aug." or even, "August 05, Twenty Stick-Infinity-Stick" if you prefer).
Weather conditions at flight time were mostly clear, temperature was 85°F (39.4°C), and winds as measured with my stupid "rotten squid pee* yellow" portable digital "windometer" (as JD from JD Quad in the UK calls those things even though they're actually called, "anemometers") ;-) were generally clam at the surface.

Other than that I think that this drone is the mutt's nuts (it's extremely good!) I mean I'm really chuffed to bits (exceptionally happy) with it!!! :-)

I really ***DO*** love the living tweedle out of flying my drones!!! :)
The same operation also left me with a "googly eye" which is why I look a bit queer (pun not intended).
The music that you hear is zax called, "Satellite One" by Purple Motion of the Finnish Pee-Cee demo group Future Crew.
This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it pisses you off.
I lost visual contact of the drone toward the end of the flight (due primarily to darkness, moderately poor eyesight, and poor lighting on the drone itself), and intentionally allowed it to crash. It crashed in the southbound lane of Olympic Hwy. but I was able to retrieve it before it got run over. :-)
** Squid (all cephalopods for that matter) do not uranate like most mammals do (by storing P-P in an expandable sac and then ejecting it through the urethra when the bladder is full); therefore there is really no such thing as squid pee. ;-)
Flights are on hold for the immediate future; one of the props fell off the next morning (08-06-18) and the nearest spare props that I can finds are in China. Delivery from China normally takes several weeks at best, so yes Virginia there is a Santa Clause...er...um...so yes the flights are on hiatus until probably early-September. :-(
Warm weather* flight of my Flytec T18 R/C "Mini Racing Drone" 08-05-18 (720p) (5).

While flying the drone, I "heard" this fictional, fake, phoney-bologna song, sung to the tune of a Coca-Cola jingle from the mid-1970s but with the following lyrics:
? I'd like to buy the world some coke ?
? And keep it all amped up! ?
? With Applebees and honey trees ?
? It's totally f***ed up! ?

* On this flight I lost orientation due to distance (at least one city block) and treed the blasted thing!
I went home and got the poal saw, but it was just a couple of feet too short; the homeowner asked me to show up around 12:30pm PDT today (I'll be bringing the poal saw again).
I showed up at 1:23pm PDT (after awakening from my nap at 1:11pm PDT); and while the homeowner's brother was gone (he's the gentleman I spoke with this morning), the adult daughter came out with the drone -- apparently it had spontaneously fallen out of the tree and the man I had spoken with this morning had retrieved it and brought it inside.
But the important thing here is: *YAYYYYY!!! I'LL BE FLYING IT AGAIN!!!* :-D
** Dragonfly larvae (all insects for that matter) do not pass micturition like most mammals do (by storing poddy in an expandable sac and then ejecting it through the urethra when the bladder is full); therefore there is really no such thing as dragonfly larva piss. ;-)

*FINAL? because on my next flight (after this one) I lost orientation due to distance and treed the blasted thing!
I went home and got the poal saw, but it was just a couple of feet too short; the homeowner asked me to show up around 12:30pm PDT today (I'll be bringing the poal saw again) and he said that he'd help me free the drone from its arboreal prison (there is a large stepladder near the tree, but because of my MS, I can't climb the ladder *AND* swing that heavy poal saw around.
So yes, I still have a pretty fair chance of retrieving my wayward little drone. :-)
** Alligators (all ectothermic critters for that matter) do not leave a piss like most mammals do (by storing P-P in an expandable sac and then ejecting it through the urethra when the bladder is full); therefore there is really no such thing as alligator poddy ;-)
