UDI U12A R/C Camera Heli flight 04-25-15 (1).

This is with the replacement that I received a couple of hours earlier.

Flight took place in the parking lot of the now-defunct Red Apple Grocery (just across the street from the Quick-E-Mart; now a business known as Shelton Outfitters) near the intersection of Cascade Ave. and Olympic Hwy. N. in Shelton WA. USA on the late-afternoon of 04-25-15 (or, "2015 25 Apr." or even, "April 25, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly cloudy, temperature of 48°F (8.9°C), and winds generally calm with occasional gusts out of the NNE to 6mph (5.214kts, 9.66kph).

The asshaberdasher in the black pants and blue jacket is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

The other guy that appears several times in this video is somebody who wanted (and was given permission) to shoot a brief video of the heli in flight so that he could post it to his Facebook page.

This video is 7.00136789046 gigabytes (7,042,427,506 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than thirty five thousand minutes (damn near a month!!!) to load at 48.0Kbps.
This video is most definitely ***NOT*** dial-up friendly!!!

Brief UDI U12A R/C Camera Heli flight 04-19-15 (2).

Flight took place near my home near the intersection of Holman St. and Dearborn Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 04-19-15 (or, "2015 19 Apr." or even, "April 19, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny with high thin clouds, temperature of 40°F (4.4°C), and winds reported as calm.

The butt monkey in the grey shorts and blue jacket is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I increased the pitch of the tail rotor with a cigarette lighter to negate the use of forward weight; I have a spare handy in the event that things become fuxxored as a result; however I did move the flight battery forward approx. 1.5" (~38.10mm) and affix an AA cell to the front of the canopy to give me a bit more forward velocity and give the heli a fighting chance against minor headwinds.

This flight was brief because the flight battery was in a state of partial discharge; the flight was made primarily so that I could obtain a photograph of the heli in the air for inclusion in its evaluation on my website.

UDI U12A R/C Camera Heli flight 04-18-15 (2).

Flight took place near my home on the 1000-block of Ellinor Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 04-18-15 (or, "2015 18 Apr." or even, "April 18, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature of 51°F (10.5°C), and winds reported as being from the E at 4mph (3.47kts, 6.44kph).

The asshat (***NOt*** ASSBONNET!!!) in the black shorts and pink tank is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I increased the pitch of the tail rotor with a cigarette lighter to minimise the use of forward weight.

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature of 39°F (3.9°C), and winds reported as calm.

The asshat (***NOt*** ASSBONNET!!!) in the black shorts and black & grey checkered jacket is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I increased the pitch of the tail rotor with a cigarette lighter to minimise the use of forward weight; however I did affix three quarters (a United States 25¢ coin) to give me a bit more forward velocity and give the heli a fighting chance against minor headwinds.

I had a truly outstanding flight earlier this morning, but when I got home and attempted to remove the camera's memory chip to transfer the most excellent video to my computer, I noted that it was not in the slot! So the flight was all for not -- considering that the U12A is a ***CAMERA*** helicopter anyway. El Stupido here forgot to put the memory chip back into the heli's onboard camera after last night's flight. :-(

Although this wAs also an excellent flight, and unexplainable series of blade strikes ended it before I was ready to bring it in for a landing. Fortunately, it crashed onto a sidewalk and not into a street, on a rooftop, or in a tree. :-) The canopy popped off as a result of the crash, the headlight connection was pulled from its connector, and one end of the flybar had popped out of its protective plastic enclosure. However, both connect buckles stayed in place and the main rotor blades do not show signs of visible damage, so I firmly believe that I'll be flying this bird again once its flight battery is recharged. :-)

UDI U12A R/C Camera Heli flight 04-17-15 (4).

Flight took place near my home on the 1000-block of Ellinor Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the early-evening of 04-17-15 (or, "2015 17 Apr." or even, "April 17, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly cloudy, temperature of 69°F (20.6°C), and winds reported as calm but increasing to NW to 5mph (4.325kts, 8.050kph) shortly after l lifted off.

The asshaberdasher in the black shorts & dark blue shirt is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I increased the pitch of the tail rotor with a cigarette lighter to negate the use of forward weight; I have a spare handy in the event that things become fuxxored as a result.

The wind eventually started to carry the heli away so I deliberately brought it down behind a house across the street.

Craptacular* UDI U12A R/C Camera Helis flight 04-17-15 (2).

Flights took place near my home near the intersection of Holman St. and Dearborn Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 04-17-15 (or, "2015 17 Apr." or even, "April 17, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly cloudy, temperature of 45°F (7.2°C), and winds reported as calm.

The asshaberdasher in the black & grey checkered jacket is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I increased the pitch of the tail rotor with a cigarette lighter; I have a spare handy in the event that things become fuxxored as a result.

* Craptacular because it was just too gosh darn-diddly-arn windy; although winds were reported by The Weather Channel as being calm, they were in fact blowing from the WNW at ~7mph (~6.06kts, 11.27kph)! Too fast for ***ANY*** coaxial heli to fly in.

Another series of craptacular* UDI U12A R/C Camera Helis flight 04-17-15 (3).

Flights took place near my home near the intersection of Holman St. and Dearborn Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the afternoon of 04-17-15 (or, "2015 17 Apr." or even, "April 17, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature of 67°F (19.4°C), and winds reported as NW to 5mph (4.325kts, 8.050kph) and by my observation, gusts to ~7mph (~6.06kts, 11.27kph).

The asshaberdasher in the black shorts & dark blue shirt is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I increased the pitch of the tail rotor with a cigarette lighter to negate the use of forward weight; I have a spare handy in the event that things become fuxxored as a result.

* Craptacular because it was just too gosh darn-diddly-arn windy; although winds were reported by The Weather Channel as being out of the NW to 5mph (4.325kts, 8.050kph), they were in fact blowing from the WNW at ~7mph (~6.06kts, 11.27kph)! Too fast for ***ANY*** coaxial heli to fly in.

UDI U12A R/C Camera Heli flight 04-17-15 (1).

Flight took place over a vacant lot near the intersection of Ellinor Ave. and Olympic Hwy. N. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 04-17-15 (or, "2015 17 Apr." or even, "April 17, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were clear, temperature of 36°F (2.2°C), and winds calm.

The asshaberdasher in the black & grey checkered jacket is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I removed all of the weight that I affixed to the front of the canopy after noting that the heli had a bit of trouble gaining altitude; this resulted in the flight looking extremely slow. My next step will be to increase the pitch of the tail rotor with a cigarette lighter; I have a spare handy in the event that things become fuxxored as a result.

UDI U12A R/C Camera Heli flight 04-16-15 (1).

Flight took place near my home near the intersection of Holman St. and Dearborn Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 04-16-15 (or, "2015 16 Apr." or even, "April 16, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).

Weather conditions at flight time were clear, temperature of 31°F (-0.5°C), and winds calm.

The "homosexicle" in the black & grey checkered jacket is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)

I attached two quarters, a nickel (a United States 25¢ coin and a United States 5¢ coin, respectively), two CR2032 lithium coin cells, and an AA cell to the front of the canopy in order to give it some additional forward velocity and make it better able to fight minor headwinds -- but the heli needs even more weight in the front. Needless to say though, I had an excellent flight -- just wish I had a bit more forward velocity.

Weather conditions at flight time were fair, temperature of 55°F (12.8°C), and winds generally calm with gusts out of the ENE at 8mph (6.92kts, 12.88kph).

The asshat (***NOT*** 'assbonnet'!) in the white shirt is the pilot -- me of course. ;-)
