Another f___ed-up group of UDI U13A R/C Camera Heli flights 03-05-15 (2).
These flights took place near my home along Ellinor Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 03-05-15 (or, "2015 05 Mar." or even, "March 05,
Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).
Weather conditions at flight time were cloudy, temperature of 38°F (3.3°C), and winds calm.
I removed the canopy and attached two quarters and two pennies (a United States 25¢ coin and a United States 1¢ coin, respectively) to the
front edge of the flight battery in order to give it greater forward velocity and make it better able to fight minor headwinds.
The main rotor shaft on this heli is bent; that's why the video is so fuxxored.
That pink "curtain" isn't fire or some other catastrophic event; the camera is simply defective -- I've had the inbuilt camera fail in this
manner with other UDI U13A helicopters.
Methinks it's time to ditch this heli and purchase a replacement when finances allow. :-(
This video is 2.39890053462 gigabytes (6,919,650,722 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than eleven thousand nine hundred ninety minutes (!?!) to load at 48.0Kbps.

UDI U13A R/C Camera Heli flights 03-08-15 (1).
Flights took place near my home at the intersection of Ellinor Ave. and Mason St. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 03-08-15 (or, "2015 08
Mar." or even, "March 08, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).
Weather conditions at flight time were dense fog (visibility less than 100 feet {30.5 meters}; IFR for real pilots; VFR for low-altitude R/C
pilots), temperature of 28°F (-2.2°C), and winds calm.
I removed the canopy and attached two quarters and two pennies (a United States 25¢ coin and a United States 1¢ coin, respectively) to the
front edge of the flight battery in order to give it greater forward velocity and make it better able to fight minor headwinds.
The rotor shaft is a bit bent -- were it not, the video would be extremely stable instead of jittery.
The heli accelerated for reasons as-of-yet unknown and crashed into me near the beginning of this video; since it was so close to me when it
stopped, I simply kept the camera "rolling" and proceeded to take off & fly again at once.
This video is 306.99643379022 megabytes (102,793,216 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than one thousand five hundred thirty five minutes to load at 48.0Kbps.

UDI U13A R/C Camera Heli flights 03-06-15 (3).
These flights took place near my home along Ellinor Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the afternoon of 03-06-15 (or, "2015 06 Mar." or even, "March 06, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).
I swapped out the camera from my last U13A heli (it's a relatively straightforward procedure as the camera is attached to the heli's fuselage with four small screws and the electrical wiring harness terminates in a polarised plug -- it took all of ten minutes to complete & test), so
that pink "curtain" is no longer present.
Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature of 60°F (15.7°C), and winds e TO 3mph (2.595kts, 4.83kph).
Both flights were terminated when the gay little metal & plastic heli hit overhead CATV lines.
This video is 4.99424688437 gigabytes (5,113,114,602 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than twenty four thousand nine hundred seventy minutes (!!!) to load at 48.0Kbps.

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature of 35°F (1.7°C), and winds calm.
I removed the canopy and attached two quarters and two pennies (a United States 25¢ coin and a United States 1¢ coin, respectively) to the
front edge of the flight battery in order to give it greater forward velocity and make it better able to fight minor headwinds.
In the first brief flight, the heli took off with incredible forward velocity for an as-of-yet unknown reason and then proceeded to crash; the
second flight went very smoothly. So smoothly in fact, that I consider this to be one of the best flights of ***ANY*** of my R/C helis!!! Too
bad the rotor shaft is a bit bent -- were it not, the video would be extremely stable instead of jittery.
The main rotor shaft on this heli is bent; that's why the video is so fuxxored.

UDI U13A R/C Camera Heli flight 03-06-15 (1).
Flight took place near my home near the intersection of Holman St. and Dearborn Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the morning of 03-06-15 (or, "2015
06 Mar." or even, "March 06, Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).
I swapped out the camera from my last U13A heli (it's a relatively straightforward procedure as the camera is attached to the heli's fuselage
with four small screws and the electrical wiring harness terminates in a polarised plug -- it took all of ten minutes to complete & test), so
that pink "curtain" is no longer present.
Weather conditions at flight time were partly cloudy with patches of dense fog, temperature of 30°F (-1.1°C), and winds calm at the surface but
gusting out of the NNW to 2mph (1.73kts, 3.22kph) at altitudes of ~100 feet (~30.5M) where much of the flight took place.
I removed the canopy and attached two quarters and two pennies (a United States 25¢ coin and a United States 1¢ coin, respectively) to the
front edge of the flight battery in order to give it greater forward velocity and make it better able to fight minor headwinds.

Flights took place near my home on Ellinor Ave. in Shelton WA. USA on the afternoon of 03-08-15 (or, "2015 08 Mar." or even, "March 08,
Twenty Stick-Bent-Stick if you prefer).
Weather conditions at flight time were sunny with patchy fog in the vicinity, temperature of 34°F (1.1°C), and winds calm.
I removed the canopy and attached two quarters and two pennies (a United States 25¢ coin and a United States 1¢ coin, respectively) to
the front edge of the flight battery in order to give it greater forward velocity and make it better able to fight minor headwinds.
The gay little metal & plastic heli crashed into an overhead telephone wire and proceeded to accelerate very rapidly; resulting in a
nosedive (not vertical, but at an angle, losing altitude very rapidly until it crashed into Mason St. I took note that one of the main
rotor blades had a small semicircular slice taken out of it; this did not significantly alter the flight characteristics however --
though the main rotor shaft may have become slightly more bent than it was before...I noted that the tail boom was shaking visibly after
the crash. :-(

Weather conditions at flight time were sunny, temperature of 64°F (17.8°C), and winds out of the E at 4mph (3.47kts, 6.44kph).
I removed the canopy and attached two quarters and two pennies (a United States 25¢ coin and a United States 1¢ coin, respectively) to
the front edge of the flight battery in order to give it greater forward velocity and make it better able to fight minor headwinds.
The winds were a bit too strong and blew the gay little metal & plastic heli way off course, so I intentionally crash-landed in the
alley behind the across-the-street neighbour's house so that I stood at least a haalfway-decent chance of finding it. With a bit of
assistance from the Tx (remote control) and my ears (to listen for the rotors going), I was indeed able to locate it within ten or
fifteen minutes.

During the yesterday morning's (03-29-15) flight, the gay little metal & plastic heli crashed into overhead CATV cable, which apparently
destroyed its camera. I swapped out the camera from my last UDI U12A and shot this video using that heli's camera. The crash did not bend the
main rotor shaft too much however, so I can still produce aerial video with only minimal shakiness. :-)
The heli crashed into overhead CATV cable, causing the rear rotor to come off. I traipsed on home, replaced it, and continued my flights.
